National Service Scheme

The National Service Scheme (NSS), established by the Government of India in 1969 to honor Mahatma Gandhi’s birth centenary, aims to instill social responsibility, discipline, and leadership among students. At Government Polytechnic College Raisen, the NSS unit operates under RGPV, Bhopal, encouraging students to participate in community service activities on weekends and holidays, with annual funding support of ₹8650.

Students earn B and C Certificates by completing required service hours and passing examinations. Special seven-day camps in rural areas focus on social welfare and awareness programs, funded by RGPV, Bhopal with ₹22,500 for 50 participants.

The Red Ribbon Club organizes awareness events on health and social issues throughout the year, supported by ₹4000 from the District Hospital, Raisen. The NSS unit continues to promote leadership, civic consciousness, and personal growth among students.
